On the night of Monday, 11 November, Mykolaiv came under another attack by Russian drones, damaging several buildings. In particular, a private one-storey house was destroyed, where a fire broke out, and an apartment in a four-storey building was damaged, causing a fire on the third and fourth floors, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych said: “Russians have once again attacked our city with drones. There is damage to residential buildings.” Meanwhile, the head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, said that all the necessary services are already working at the scene.
So far, five deaths have been reported, and rescuers have recovered their bodies. Psychologists from the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service are working at the scene to provide support to the affected residents. As of 05:30, 22 people have sought psychological help.
During the firefighting operations in the affected areas, a woman born in 1979 was found to have suffered an acute stress reaction. She was hospitalised with a hypertensive crisis.
The fires caused by the shelling were promptly extinguished by the State Emergency Service on the areas of 60 and 150 square metres. The rescue operations involved 41 SES personnel and 10 specialised vehicles.
