The murder of a Ukrainian in Germany: BILD.
A tragedy has occurred near the village of Oberroth in southern Germany, killing a 34-year-old trucker from Ukraine. The incident occurred at a truck stop when four drivers, including a Ukrainian citizen, were discussing political topics, including Russia’s role in a full-scale war in Ukraine. The dispute, which began due to high emotions and alcohol consumption, escalated into a fight that ended in the death of one of the participants. This is reported by TimeUkraineIsrael with reference to Korrespondent.
The conflict broke out on Saturday evening when the drivers tried to discuss political views, namely the situation in Ukraine. Ionut B., a 38-year-old Romanian driver, tried to calm his colleagues down by asking them to turn down the volume of the music. However, his request was ignored, and the argument only escalated. After 20:00, the words quickly escalated into aggressive behaviour, leading to a fight.
The Ukrainian driver was fatally injured during the fight. Police detained three other people involved in the incident – drivers aged 35, 41 and 45. Law enforcement officers are currently investigating all the details of the tragedy and identifying who exactly struck the fatal blow.
This case is part of a series of similar incidents where discussions of politics and war have ended in violence. Earlier, a brutal murder of a 48-year-old Ukrainian man at an agricultural enterprise in Poland and another case of a Ukrainian man being killed by a former Wagnerian in Russia over similar disputes were reported.
