On Wednesday, 13 November, Ukraine will introduce power cuts for businesses and industrial consumers. According to the press service of Ukrenergo, the reason for these measures is a short-term reduction in the capacity of shunting generation and a significant reduction in electricity imports.
The restrictions will be in place throughout the day and will be lifted in the evening after the situation stabilises. Companies were also urged to import more electricity to meet their needs to minimise the burden on the national grid.
There are no restrictions for household consumers, but Ukrenergo urges citizens to use electricity rationally, especially during peak hours.
