Known for his proximity to political forces supporting Meloni and Matteo Salvini, Musk continued his criticism on his X platform, asking: “Do people in Italy live in a democracy or is it an unelected autocracy?”
Responding to these attacks, Mattarella, who has a moral rather than political role in the country, said: “Italy is a great democratic country that can manage its own affairs, respecting its own Constitution.” He also added that anyone who is going to hold an important position in the government of another country, respecting its sovereignty, cannot afford to teach political lessons to others.
