Ukrposhta JSC has officially announced a tender for the purchase of 880 electric courier scooters, the postal operator’s press service reports. According to the report, the tender is already available on the portal of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the project is scheduled to be implemented in 2025.
The postal operator expects electric scooters to significantly improve courier delivery logistics due to their advantages, including speed, manoeuvrability and increased load capacity. They will optimise delivery processes, reduce fuel costs and reduce the negative impact on the environment, which is an important step towards the company’s environmental responsibility.
The project is financed by loans and grants provided by the EBRD and the European Investment Bank. The procurement will be carried out in accordance with EBRD rules through the ECEPP electronic portal. Suppliers have until 8 December 2024, 10:00 a.m. Kyiv time, to submit their proposals.
In order to get acquainted with the terms of the tender in detail, Ukrposhta will hold online meetings with potential suppliers during November to provide clarifications and answer questions.
