Ukrainian medical institutions have received 161 modern anaesthetic and breathing devices used for inhalation anaesthesia during complex surgeries. This equipment will allow doctors to perform surgeries efficiently and safely, controlling the depth of anaesthesia and preventing life-threatening situations.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, noting that the medical equipment was provided as part of a joint project between the Ministry of Health and the World Bank, as well as for additional funding from the project “Emergency Response to COVID-19 and Vaccination in Ukraine”.
The anaesthesia and respiratory devices have already been delivered to hospitals in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi regions and Kyiv. In addition, it is planned to supply the devices to medical institutions in Ternopil, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Donetsk regions in the near future.
This replenishment of medical equipment will be an important step in improving the quality of medical services and ensuring high standards of treatment in Ukrainian hospitals.
