US President-elect Donald Trump has said that his administration will prioritise ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. Speaking at an event in Florida on Thursday, Trump expressed his determination to influence the situation and put an end to the bloodshed, CNN reports.
“We will work very hard on the issue of Russia and Ukraine. It has to stop. Russia and Ukraine – it’s got to stop,” Trump said, condemning the loss of life on both sides.
“Whether it’s soldiers or people in the cities, we will work on this,” he added, stressing the importance of a peaceful settlement to protect human lives.
