The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is conducting a thorough investigation into an incident in the village of Shchaslyve where an employee of a territorial recruitment centre (TCC) used a weapon. According to the ministry, the Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence (GIMO) has launched an inspection to find out whether the actions of the TCC representative were lawful and whether there were grounds for the use of firearms, TimeUkraineIsrael reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
According to the report, in the event of any abuse of office or signs of a criminal offence, the inspection materials will be transferred to law enforcement agencies for further investigation. Law enforcement officers will take the necessary measures to establish the circumstances of the incident and make appropriate decisions.
This incident has attracted increased attention, as the use of weapons in military units is of paramount importance for ensuring security and law and order in Ukraine, especially under martial law.
