Ukraine’s defence forces are focused on disrupting enemy offensives, bravely holding the line and destroying occupation units on the battlefield. This is reported by TimeUkraineIsrael, citing the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the day, 109 combat engagements have taken place, the most fierce of which continue in the Kurakhove and Pokrovske directions. Several localities in Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions, including Zhuravka, Leonivka, Hrabovske, Pokrovka and others, came under fire from Russian artillery.
Areas of combat operations
Kharkiv sector: The enemy is actively advancing in the direction of Vysokaya Yaruga and continues to storm Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk, where several attacks are ongoing.
Kupyansk direction: The enemy attacked Ukrainian troops five times near Kolisnykivka, Kopanky and Nadiya. Four combat engagements continue, Ukrainian troops demonstrate courage and resilience, holding back the enemy.
Liman direction: With the support of bomber aircraft, the occupiers carried out nine attacks near Novoyehorivka, Terny and Torske. The enemy also dropped adjusted aerial bombs on Yampolivka, Terny, Lyman and Torske. Fighting in this area continues.
Siversk direction: Ukrainian troops repelled an attack near Verkhnekamianske, and Siversk and Riznykivka came under enemy air strikes.
Toretsk sector: Eight attacks were registered in the area of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, six of which have already been repelled. Fighting continues, the enemy is actively using aircraft to strike Toretsk.
Pokrovske direction: The enemy made 23 attempts to force Ukrainian defenders out of their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promen, Lysivka, Petrivka and Pustynka. Ukrainian troops repelled 17 attacks, six more combat engagements are ongoing.
Kurakhove sector: The enemy conducted 26 attacks near Berestky, Novoselidivka, Voznesenka and other localities. Ten enemy attempts to advance have already been stopped. In addition, the enemy conducted an air strike on Kurakhove, dropping two bombs.
Vremivsk sector: Four hostilities continue near Trudove, Makarivka, Rivne and Novodarivka. Five aerial bombs were dropped on Velyka Novosilka.
Orikhiv direction: Russian troops have been shelling civilian infrastructure in the Ukrainian-controlled areas in an attempt to spread fear among the civilian population.
Prydniprovskyi direction: The enemy made five attempts to storm Ukrainian defensive positions, which were repelled.
Operational situation in the Kursk region
An operation is underway in the Kursk region where Russian aircraft and artillery are striking at their own territory, increasing tension among the population. As of today, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled ten enemy attacks, and fighting continues in 11 locations.
