In recent days, a commando brigade under the command of the 91st Division of the Israeli Defence Forces has conducted a series of successful, limited operations in southern Lebanon. These raids had a clearly defined goal: to neutralise terrorists who were shelling Israeli settlements using rocket launchers and artillery shells. Targeted strikes against terrorist targets
These operations involved the use of specialised equipment, including air strikes and tank fire, which made it possible to kill a large number of militants and eliminate important infrastructure. Particular attention was paid to finding and neutralising rocket launchers, underground shelters and other weapons that terrorists planned to use to attack Israel.
Detection of military depots and weapons
One of the main achievements of the operations was the discovery of an underground complex used as a weapons cache. The soldiers found boxes of explosives, ammunition and grenades, which were instantly destroyed using special explosive devices. They also found a truck with a mobile rocket launcher that was aimed at Israeli settlements.
Hezbollah terrorists’ weapons destroyed
The commandos also discovered a large arsenal of weapons belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organisation. This included anti-tank missiles, mortar shells, combat vests and more than 25 boxes of new missiles ready to be launched. All of these items were either neutralised or dismantled, significantly weakening the enemy’s combat capability in this strategically important region.
Results of operations
