The UK Ministry of Defence has reported that 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen have been trained as part of the multinational Operation Interflex. The programme is aimed at improving the skills and combat readiness of new recruits in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Interflex is a UK-led training mission designed for military personnel with minimal or no military experience. The training is conducted in cooperation with partners from different countries. Kosovo, Romania and Estonia are the latest countries to join the programme, demonstrating global support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
Programme achievements
- The training has already been completed by 50,000 Ukrainian recruits.
- Participants master the key combat skills necessary for successful modern warfare.
In early November, an international partnership conference in the UK discussed further training of the Ukrainian military within the framework of Interflex, including plans for 2025.
The Interflex training mission brings together NATO and other partners to demonstrate global solidarity with Ukraine in its fight for freedom and sovereignty.
