President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a new package of military support from Denmark. He made the announcement at a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredriksen.
“Denmark has handed over a new support package that will increase our long-range capability,” Zelenskyy said.
Expanding partnership with Denmark
This military assistance package is another step in strengthening the partnership between the two countries. Previously, Denmark has repeatedly supported Ukraine by providing weapons, ammunition and technical equipment to counter Russian aggression.
Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Fredriksen stressed that her country will continue to support Ukraine to ensure its ability to defend its independence and territorial integrity.
Support for long-range capabilities
The emphasis on increasing Ukraine’s long-range capability demonstrates Denmark’s intention to help strengthen the country’s defence capabilities. This includes support for countering threats from a distance, which is especially important in modern warfare.
The new aid package will help to more effectively combat Russian aggression and improve protection for both the military and civilians in Ukraine.
This statement demonstrates continued international solidarity with Ukraine. Denmark is one of the countries that has consistently supported Kyiv despite the challenges facing Europe.
Zelenskyy thanked Denmark for its unwavering support and expressed confidence in further cooperation to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
