Israel has decided to keep its embassy in Kyiv open despite reports of a possible large-scale Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital. This step is significant as a number of Western countries have temporarily closed their diplomatic missions due to the escalating security situation. The information was published by the Time Ukraine Israel portal, citing The Times of Israel.

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky said that the diplomatic mission was working as usual.

“We are currently working as usual,” the diplomat told The Times of Israel.

Meanwhile, the US, Italy and Spain announced the temporary closure of their embassies in Kyiv. This was in response to intelligence reports warning of a possible large-scale attack on the capital. Analysts attribute this to the escalation of tensions after Washington allowed Ukraine to use US long-range ATACMS missiles to strike targets in Russia.

The Kremlin’s decision to intensify its military aggression has drawn condemnation from the international community. Nevertheless, Israel has demonstrated its resolve to support Kyiv by keeping its embassy open even in difficult circumstances.

This bold move by Israel underscores the importance of supporting Ukraine in its struggle for independence and sovereignty.
