On the night of 22 November, Russian forces attacked a residential neighbourhood in the city of Sumy with Shahed drones. The attack killed two people and injured 12 others with varying degrees of severity.
This was reported by the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar. According to him, several powerful explosions occurred in the city during the night attack. Rescuers found the body of a dead man at the site of the first one. Later, another victim of the attack was found.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration confirmed that Russian drones attacked a residential sector, causing significant damage. The victims have received aid and the rubble is being cleared.
Emergency services are working at the sites of enemy attacks. Doctors are fighting for the lives of the wounded.
The attack was yet another example of Russia’s cynical violation of international humanitarian law aimed at terrorising the civilian population of Ukraine.
