Over the last day, 190 combat engagements were registered in the frontline, with the highest enemy activity observed in the Pokrovsk sector. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a morning report on 22 November.
The missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces conducted a precision strike on an important target of the Russian occupiers, which, according to the General Staff, significantly complicated their capabilities in certain areas. Details of this operation have not yet been disclosed.
The fiercest battles
Kharkiv sector:
Russian proxies conducted 10 attacks in the areas of Starytsia, Vovchansk and Hlyboke.
Kupyansk sector:
18 attacks were repelled, including near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove and Lozova.
Liman sector:
Ukrainian forces stopped 16 enemy attacks in the areas of Tverdokhlibove, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Terny, Torske and Serebryany forestry.
Kramatorsk direction:
The enemy made three attempts to advance near Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky.
Pokrovske direction:
A record 48 attacks were repelled in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Petrivka, Chumatske and Pustynka.
Kurakhove direction:
The enemy made 31 attempts to break through, but all attacks were repelled.
Vremivsk sector:
14 attacks were recorded near Trudove, Kostiantynopolske, Rozlyv, Sukhi Yaliv and Novodarivka.
Other areas:
- Orikhivske direction: one attack in the area of Pyatikhatky.
- Prydniprovia direction: five enemy attempts to break through.
Shelling and air strikes
During the day, the enemy inflicted:
- 5 missile strikes using 13 missiles,
- 51 air strikes, using 85 guided bombs,
- more than 3,000 artillery attacks, including 139 with multiple launch rocket systems,
- more than 900 kamikaze drones to attack Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and civilian targets.
Enemy air strikes were recorded in the areas of Hrekivka, Rayhorodka, Kuzminivka, Serebryanka, Lyman, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Oleksandr-Kalynove, Ivanopillia, Chumatske, Pustynka, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Ulakly, Yantarne and Velyka Novosilka.
