The Ukrainian military has successfully completed an operation to clear the city of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, from Russian occupation forces. This was reported by the DeepState analytical project on the night of Tuesday, 26 November.

“Ukrainian defence forces have completed the clearing of Kupyansk,” the statement said.

The situation in other areas

Despite the liberation of Kupiansk, Russian troops continue to actively advance in other parts of the frontline. In particular, the occupiers advanced in the areas of Novomlynsk, Dalne, Kostiantynopolske, as well as in the settlements of Razdolnoye and Kurakhove.

Meaning of Kupyansk

Kupiansk is an important logistics hub in the Kharkiv region. Its liberation will allow Ukraine to strengthen its positions in the northeast and cut off important supply routes for the occupation forces.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite the tactical successes of Russian troops in certain areas, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold back the offensive and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
