Leaflets with the text “Zionists, leave Britain or be killed” were distributed in the Jewish neighbourhood of Hendon, London. The incident caused a wave of outrage and concern among the local community, GB News reports.

The leaflets, written in English and Hebrew, also contained the phrase “Zionist-free zone”. The fact of their distribution was reported to Stand With Us, an organisation that fights anti-Semitism and other forms of hatred.

“The boundaries of what is acceptable are constantly being violated”

Isaac Zarfati, executive director of Stand With Us, said the incident was a wake-up call:
“We are witnessing a dangerous trend where red lines are being crossed again and again. This is not a wave that will pass if we remain passive. Threats like this can become real actions if they are not taken seriously.”

Zarfati stressed the need for decisive action to counter the rise of anti-Semitism.

Alarming statistics and similar cases

This incident took place against the backdrop of a significant increase in anti-Semitic crimes in London. According to the Metropolitan Police, the number of hate crimes against the Jewish community has more than doubled over the past year.

Similar manifestations of hatred have occurred before: before Yom Kippur, offensive inscriptions appeared on the courses of the Heldon Golf Club, including “Heil Hitler ” and swastikas carved into the sand dunes.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, expressed his outrage:
“I am deeply shocked by the rise of anti-Semitism in our city. Hate crimes are criminal and have no place in London.”

The London authorities have called for increased security measures and a more active response to hatred. Meanwhile, the community is calling for solidarity and decisive action to protect the rights and safety of all city residents.
