The Ukrainian Defence Forces have recorded a significant increase in enemy activity at the front. Over the past 24 hours, 224 combat engagements took place, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports in its operational summary.
Successes of Ukrainian troops
Missile forces and artillery struck three areas where Russian troops were concentrated, causing significant losses to the enemy.
Operational situation in the following areas
- Kharkiv sector: Russian troops made nine attempts to advance in the areas of Vovchansk, Kozacha Lopan and Hoptivka. All attacks were repelled.
- Kupiansk direction: Seven attacks took place near Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Lozova and Zahryzove.
- Liman direction: The enemy attacked 20 times, trying to break through the defences near Hrekivka, Druzhelyubivka, Novoyehorivka, Zarichne, Terny and Torske.
- Kramatorsk sector: Ukrainian troops successfully repelled 17 enemy attacks in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Predtechyne and Stupochky.
- Toretsk sector: There were 16 firefights near Toretsk, Nelipivka and Shcherbynivka.
- Pokrovske direction: Russian troops made 47 attempts to assault in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krasniy Yar and other localities.
- Kurakhove direction: The hottest area with 54 recorded attacks. Ukrainian defence forces stopped the enemy near Sontsivka, Berestky, Kurakhove and a dozen other localities.
- Vremivsk direction: 18 attacks were carried out in the areas of Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynopolske, Rozlyv and Novopil.
- Prydniprovskyi direction: Four hostile attacks were successfully repelled.
Kursk region
The operation of the Defence Forces in Kursk region continues. Over the past day, 22 firefights took place, and enemy artillery fired 353 times at Ukrainian settlements and positions.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to control the situation on the frontline, repelling attacks and inflicting losses on the Russian invaders.
