On the night of Sunday, 1 December, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the territory of Ukraine, launching 78 attack drones. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on its Telegram channel.
Air defence performance
- Downed: 32 attack drones.
- Lost by location: 45 drones.
- Remains in the air: 1 UAV.
Directions of attack
The kamikaze drones were launched from the territory of Russia, in particular from the Kursk, Orel and Bryansk regions.
Air defence operations
Air defences have been successful in several regions of Ukraine, including:
- Kyiv;
- Cherkasy;
- Chernihiv;
- Zhytomyr;
- Sumy;
- Poltava.
The attack demonstrates Russia’s continued attempts to put pressure on Ukrainian infrastructure and civilians. Despite this, Ukrainian air defence continues to effectively protect the skies, shooting down a significant number of enemy drones.
