Last night, the Ukrainian military successfully eliminated 30 Russian attack drones, another 12 enemy drones were lost locally, and one drone changed course and landed in Belarus. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on its Telegram channel.
Massive enemy attack
On the night of 4-5 December, Russian troops carried out another massive shelling of Ukraine. The enemy used two Iskander-M ballistic missiles fired from the Rostov region and 44 attack drones, including Shahed kamikaze drones and other types of drones.
The main areas of UAV launches were the Oryol and Kursk regions of Russia.
Successful work of air defence
As of 08:30, air defence, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups destroyed 30 Russian drones in the following regions of Ukraine:
- Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava;
- Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy;
- Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia;
- Khmelnytsky and Odesa regions.
Consequences of impacts
Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles struck the territory of Dnipropetrovs’k region. Information on the damage and casualties is being updated.
One of the drones launched by the enemy unexpectedly changed course and landed on the territory of Belarus. Details of the incident are currently being investigated.
The Ukrainian military has once again proved its ability to effectively counter massive air attacks, protecting civilians and critical infrastructure.
