Previous incidents in the Negev
This is not the first case of violence in the region. On 29 November, an armed attack took place at the Kilaks crossing in the Hebron Highlands. Unknown gunmen opened fire on Israeli soldiers from a car. Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack. The attackers fled the scene, which led to an active search organised by the Israeli military.
The events in and around Tel Aviv reflect the growing tension in the region. The police and military continue to respond quickly to any threats, including through large-scale search operations.
