DeepState analysts report that Russian troops are actively advancing in eastern Ukraine. The invaders have seized four settlements in Donetsk region and made breakthroughs in several other areas.

Details of the situation

• Pokrovske direction: Russians occupied the village of Novopusynka, which is located near Novotroitske.
• Kurakhove direction: the settlements of Stari Terny, Illinka and Novodmytrivka came under the control of the occupiers.

In addition, the invaders made advances in the area of Kurakhove, as well as in the villages of Romanivka and near Uspenivka, which forms the so-called “Kurakhove sack”.

A threat to the region

These actions indicate an increase in the enemy’s offensive activity in Donbas. Analysts note that Russian troops continue to use massive artillery strikes and numerous assaults to put pressure on Ukrainian positions.

The situation in these areas remains difficult, but the Ukrainian military continues to defend itself, holding back the enemy’s advance.
