President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Ukrainian defenders on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is celebrated on 6 December. The celebrations took place at the Motherland stele in Kyiv, where the President thanked the military for their courage and heroism in the fight for freedom and independence.
“There are two dates in our history that are side by side and connected – 5 December and 6 December. Two dates that have different flavours. Yesterday was the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Budapest Memorandum. Today, we understand for sure that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the true, first and most reliable guarantor of our security. We thank you for this and may death avoid the brave, may everything be 4.5.0. Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Glory to Ukraine!” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
On this day, the President expressed his gratitude to all those who defend the Motherland and stressed that the Armed Forces are the main guarantor of the country’s security and sovereignty.
