Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology and Minister of Digital Transformation, and Kristen Mihal, Prime Minister of Estonia, discussed further partnership in building a digital state. The meeting took place as part of a business forum dedicated to innovation and cooperation between the two countries.
Fedorov announced this on his Telegram channel.
“Estonia remains a top example for us in building a digital state. The expertise of our colleagues helped us to create Diia, which is now used by 21 million Ukrainians,” said Fedorov.
Results of cooperation
The forum brought together representatives of the governments of Ukraine and Estonia, business and investors to discuss joint initiatives, economic development and innovative solutions. One of the key issues discussed was the introduction of advanced technologies in public administration and ensuring comfortable conditions for business.
Estonia, a global leader in digital transformation, is actively sharing its experience with Ukraine. This cooperation has resulted in the creation of the Diia app, which has become the foundation of the digital state in Ukraine.
The Tallinn cyber defence mechanism
Fedorov also thanked the Estonian government for its support of the Tallinn Mechanism, an international cyber defence project that brings together 11 countries. Estonia initiated the mechanism and continues to coordinate it.
“We are grateful for the support of cyber defence, which is critical in today’s environment. Together we are strengthening our digital resilience,” the Minister said.
Future plans
Ukraine will continue to develop its digital partnership with Estonia by integrating innovative solutions for public administration and business. According to Fedorov, these steps will help create new opportunities for economic development, attract investment and strengthen the digital infrastructure of both countries.
Estonia remains a strategic partner of Ukraine in building a digital state, and this dialogue opens up new horizons for future cooperation.
