The Israeli Defence Forces and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) carried out a series of precision operations that resulted in the elimination of two important Hamas commanders who directly coordinated the brutal attacks on Israel on 7 October. One of the main strikes was the elimination of Fehmi Salma, commander of the Nuhba Company, who coordinated the attack on the Paga outpost in southwestern Israel, which killed 14 Israeli soldiers. Another important target was Salah Dahham, the head of Hamas’ paragliding unit, who organised an air incursion into Israeli territory on the same day.
According to the Time Ukraine Israel portal, citing the IDF press service, the strikes on the terrorists were based on accurate intelligence gathered by the Israeli Intelligence Agency and the Israel Security Agency.
Elimination of Fehmi Salma
Fehmi Salmi, commander of the Nuhba Company in the Hamas Zeitoun Battalion, was killed in an Israeli air strike on a building that used to serve as the Al-Falah school. On 7 October, he led an attack on the Paga outpost, which resulted in Israeli casualties. Salmi also actively led other operations aimed at destroying Israeli military units, demonstrating the strategic importance of his role in Hamas’ terrorist activities.
The destruction of Salah Dahham
In another air strike operation, Salah Dahham, commander of a Hamas paraglider unit, was killed. Dahham, who was responsible for organising the 7 October air incursion during which Hamas militants infiltrated southern Israel using paragliders, was killed near Jabalia. The incursion marked an important milestone in attacks on civilians and Israeli communities.
Continuing the fight against terrorism
The Israeli Defence Forces and the Israel Security Agency reaffirmed their determination to continue the fight against the terrorists who took part in the brutal attacks of 7 October. The Israeli Armed Forces continue to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of its citizens and neutralise the threats posed by Hamas.
