Military units of the DPRK, which are part of the Russian army, are preparing to take part in assault operations against Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine.

The North Korean military command has been ordered to establish cooperation with Russian units already fighting in the region.

  • Assault operations: DPRK soldiers are likely to begin an assault on Ukrainian positions soon.
  • Supply: Additional food supplies were transferred to the units.
  • Movement: Some military personnel are covertly transferred to the front line using civilian trucks disguised as water delivery vehicles.

On 13 December, the DPRK troops were put on alert, awaiting further instructions. According to the GUR, this indicates Moscow’s intention to engage the North Korean military in active hostilities in the near future.

Ukrainian intelligence is closely monitoring the situation, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces command is preparing for a possible escalation in this area.
