On Saturday, 21 December, the Russian city of Kazan was attacked by drones. According to the RIA Novosti propaganda agency and the Astra and Baza telegram channels, at least seven drone strikes were recorded in the morning, some of which hit residential buildings and one hit an industrial facility.
Details of the incident
- Number of strikes: Russian sources claim eight “arrivals”.
- Places of lesion:
- Industrial enterprise.
- A blow over the river.
- Residential area: damaged buildings on Kamaleev Avenue (two drones), Klara Tsetkin, Yukozinskaya, Hadi Taktash, Krasnaya Position, and Orenburgsky Trakt streets.
Consequences.
- Kazan Airport has temporarily suspended operations.
- Some schools in the city were evacuated.
- The damage to the infrastructure is still being clarified, but Russian media are publishing footage of the aftermath of the attacks.
