In the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland and the Military Property Agency, in accordance with the decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves transferred three helicopters to Ukraine that previously belonged to the police. This was reported by Time Ukraine Israel, citing the official Facebook page of the State Agency for Strategic Reserves of Poland.
Details of the transfer of equipment
Two Mi-8 helicopters and one Bell 412-HP were sent to the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. They will be used to train future pilots preparing to serve in the context of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.
This initiative is part of a wider support programme under which Poland provides Ukraine with equipment to help ensure the effective work of Ukrainian law enforcement. The helicopters will be a significant help to the Ukrainian police, which continues to operate in the context of a full-scale armed conflict.
Polish logistics hub to help Ukraine
The equipment needed for Ukraine is delivered through a specially created logistics hub. It was established by a decision of the Prime Minister of Poland on 20 May 2022. This hub is a key element in ensuring the efficient and uninterrupted transfer of humanitarian and technical assistance.
