Russians strike over 2800 times in Donetsk region: dozens of civilian objects damaged

On 22 December, Russian troops carried out 2,804 strikes in Donetsk region, damaging dozens of civilian objects, including residential buildings and infrastructure. This was reported by the police of Donetsk region.

The enemy fired at the frontline and residential areas, including the towns of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Toretsk and the village of Novodmitrivka. The attacks damaged 43 civilian objects, including 31 residential buildings.

Russia struck Kostyantynivka with two FAB-250 guided missiles, destroying a private house, five apartment buildings, administrative buildings and workshops. In Druzhkivka, a FAB-250 airstrike damaged workshops and vehicles.

An enemy aircraft dropped a bomb in Novodmitrivka, destroying 15 private houses. Pokrovsk came under artillery fire and drone attacks. As a result, two private houses, eight apartment buildings, a garage and an outbuilding were damaged.

In addition, eight houses were damaged in Siversk, and nine private houses and a multi-storey building were damaged in Chasovoyarsk community. Four houses were destroyed in Malynivka of the Hrodivka community.

Overall, Donetsk region continues to be one of the most heavily shelled areas of Ukraine. Almost every day, the Russian army strikes at civilian targets, killing and injuring civilians, destroying homes and strategically important infrastructure.

The police and the SBU have already opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
