On Wednesday, 25 December, in the Tambov region, drones attacked a Russian defence enterprise, the Michurinsky Progress plant. This was reported by ASTRA on its Telegram channel.

Target of attack: defence plant

The Progress plant is a key facility in the Russian military industry. It manufactures high-tech equipment for aircraft and missile control systems, as well as electrical equipment for civilian use, including gas and oil pipelines.

Local residents report significant damage to the plant as a result of the attack.

Additional damage

In addition, a drone attack caused a fire at an energy infrastructure facility. The boiler house of Transnefteprodukt LLC, located on the territory of the linear control room of the production station in the village of Novonikilske, caught fire.

According to preliminary information, four drones crashed on the station’s territory, causing a large-scale fire.

This attack is another blow to Russia’s critical infrastructure and defence facilities, likely aimed at reducing the country’s ability to meet its military needs, especially in the context of a war against Ukraine.

The details of the incident are being clarified, but it once again demonstrates the vulnerability of Russia’s key strategic facilities.
