In 2024, the supply of unmanned systems to the Ukrainian Defence Forces increased 19 times compared to the previous year. This was announced by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on his Facebook page on Saturday, 28 December.

Unmanned systems forces – a new era in defence capability

Syrskyi noted that this year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine created a separate Unmanned Systems Force, which was a strategic step to strengthen the country’s defence capabilities.

“The number of enemy targets hit and destroyed increased by 3.7 times. This is evidence of the extraordinary effectiveness of the use of drones in modern combat operations,” the Commander-in-Chief stressed.

Technological superiority in warfare

According to Syrskyi, the development of unmanned systems is a key element in modern technological warfare. Ukraine plans to continue to actively develop this area, increasing the number and quality of drones supplied to its units.

Drones have become an important tool for the Ukrainian military in its fight against the aggressor. Thanks to this decision, the Armed Forces were able to significantly increase the effectiveness of defeating the enemy, including equipment and logistics routes.

The record growth in drone deliveries is a testament to the coordinated work of the defence industry and international partners who support Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty.
