The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to heroically hold back the onslaught of Russian invaders. Over the past 24 hours, on 10 January, our defenders repelled 161 enemy attacks in all frontline areas, including 25 attacks at the Kursk bridgehead, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Key areas of combat operations
- Kharkiv sector: Two attacks near Starytsia and Vovchansk were repelled.
- Kupyansk sector: Ukrainian defence forces stopped 8 attempts of the occupants to break through in the areas of Zakhidne, Kucherivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.
- Liman direction: The enemy carried out 17 attacks, trying to advance near Zelenyi Hai, Borivska Andriivka, Kopanky and other localities.
- Pokrovske direction: The hottest part of the frontline. Here, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 42 aggressor attacks, including near Pokrovsk, Novovasylivka, Promin and others.
- Kurakhove direction: Russians attacked 29 times near Sribne, Kurakhove and Dachne.
Attacks on the Kursk bridgehead
In the operational area of the Kursk region, the Defence Forces repelled 25 attacks by Russian invaders. In addition, the enemy carried out 19 air strikes using 31 guided bombs, and fired 469 artillery rounds, including 19 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Enemy losses
Despite the enormous pressure, Russian forces have not made significant progress. The occupiers continue to suffer heavy losses in both manpower and equipment, the General Staff emphasises.
Ukraine continues to strengthen its defences and launch counterattacks, preventing the enemy from gaining a foothold in any part of the frontline.
