According to an official report from the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) press service, in recent hours, the Israeli military has carried out a series of strikes on Hezbollah terrorist organisation targets in Lebanon. These actions were taken on the basis of intelligence data.

Prior to the attacks, the IDF presented evidence of the threat these targets pose to the Israeli home front and troops, and to the mechanism for monitoring the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. These threats have reportedly not been addressed through diplomatic means.

The targets included a missile launcher, a military facility and routes along the Syrian and Lebanese borders used to smuggle arms to Hezbollah.

The Israeli Defence Forces stressed its determination to act to neutralise any threat to the state of Israel and stated that it would counter any attempts by Hezbollah to rebuild its forces in accordance with the terms of the ceasefire.
