A terrible tragedy has occurred in the city of Most in the north-western Czech Republic. An explosion of a propane-butane cylinder in a local restaurant killed six people. The incident, which occurred late on Saturday night, also led to a serious fire that engulfed the building, Reuters reports.

According to the Czech Fire and Rescue Service, the explosion was caused by an accident with a heater that had tipped over. Eight people were also injured in the incident, and thirty people were evacuated from the restaurant and neighbouring buildings.

Emergency services responded promptly to the incident, but unfortunately, not everyone was saved. Investigators and firefighters continue to work at the scene to establish the details of the tragedy and make sure that this does not happen again.

The community of Most was shocked by the incident, as the restaurant was a popular meeting place for local residents. The city and national authorities expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and stated the need to review security measures in public places to avoid similar tragedies in the future.
