South Korean band BTS’s hit song “Dynamite” has become the first K-pop track to exceed 2 billion streams on Spotify. This track, released in 2020, became a huge achievement for the group, as The Korea Times reports that BTS remains the only K-pop group to achieve this result. In addition, “Dynamite” made BTS the first K-pop group to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and the song also earned them a Grammy Award nomination. The music video for this track has garnered over 1.9 billion views on YouTube, which also underlines its popularity.

As for other achievements, the group’s member Junguk became the first K-pop solo artist to have his single “Seven” break the 2 billion streams barrier on Spotify.

Now, the group’s fans are looking forward to their reunion, which is due to take place in 2025, after the five members complete their military service. At the moment, Kim Seok-jin and Jung Ho-seok (J-Hope) have already returned.
