In a recent message on his telegram channel, Dmytro Lubinets happily announced the successful return home of 25 prisoners of war who were seriously wounded and ill. Their repatriation was made possible by the hard work of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the efforts of Ukrainian negotiators, and the continued support of international partners.
Lubinets emphasised that the return of the defenders is not only a great joy for their families and friends, but also a significant step forward in maintaining the morale of the entire nation. The next step for the returnees will be to receive the necessary medical care, rehabilitation and further recovery.
The Ombudsperson also stressed that the work to return the remaining prisoners will continue: “We remember everyone who remains in captivity and will continue to make every effort to secure their release.” This statement reaffirms Ukraine’s unwavering commitment to its citizens in these difficult times.
