On the night of Thursday, 16 January, the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out a successful operation against the Liskinsk oil depot in Russia’s Voronezh region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that a large-scale fire broke out at the facility after at least three attack drones hit the target.
According to information from the General Staff, the oil depot stored fuel that was used to meet the needs of the Russian occupation forces. Thanks to the coordinated work of the Special Operations Forces and other units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, the facility was severely damaged.
As a result of the UAV’s accurate strikes, a massive fire broke out at the oil depot, which can be seen in the video from the scene that appeared on social media. In addition to numerous confirmations of the fire, information about the consequences of the operation is currently being clarified.
“Targeted and systematic attacks on important targets of the Russian invaders continue. It will continue,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
