The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to effectively weaken Russia’s military potential, in particular its ability to withstand attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was stated by Valeriy Ryabykh, a military expert and development director at Defense Express, on Espresso.
Reducing the means of combating drones
According to Ryabikh, the dynamics of attacks on Russian military and industrial facilities indicate a decline in Russia’s ability to provide effective defence.
“One of the key areas of work of the Defence Forces is the destruction of logistical support for Russian troops, in particular fuel stocks, which are critical for their army. Judging by the current dynamics, the Russians have fewer and fewer means to withstand attacks. This opens up new prospects for Ukraine on the battlefield,” the expert stressed.
Improving strike tactics
Ryabykh also noted that the Ukrainian military is honing its tactics with each new strike, making them even more effective.
“Attacks are becoming multi-layered, using a variety of means in combination. During each such strike, new routes and methods are tested and taken into account to further improve tactics,” the expert explained.
Results for the frontline
Such actions, he said, have a long-term effect, as they weaken the enemy both in logistics and defence capabilities. This gives the Ukrainian forces an advantage that will grow as Russian resources dwindle.
The Ukrainian army is demonstrating a systematic approach to weakening the enemy, using the latest technologies and improving its methods of fighting on the battlefield.
