American airline Delta Airlines has announced the resumption of direct flights between New York and Tel Aviv starting in April 2025. This is an important event, as flights were suspended in October 2023 due to the outbreak of war. At the time of publication, no official statement was received from Delta Airlines, but ticket sales are already open, Time Ukraine Israel reports, citing Vesty.
To celebrate Passover, the airline offers tickets at special prices. For example, a round-trip flight on 10 April costs from $1868, while prices for May start at $1944.
New routes and offers from other airlines
Other international carriers are also gradually resuming flights to Israel.
- Transavia France resumes flights on 28 January.
- Air France returns to daily Paris-Tel Aviv flights from 25 January with modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Passengers can choose between premium or business class, Wi-Fi and personal screens. Prices for March start from $522.
- British Airways resumes flights to Israel on 5 April.
- The Lufthansa Group, including SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings, will start flights from 1 February.
- EasyJet adds flights to Israel from 1 June 2025.
- Ryanair has announced the resumption of all routes by summer 2025. Departures include popular cities such as Vilnius, Rome and Krakow.
- On 15 January,Wizz Air expanded its schedule to include flights from Warsaw, London, Milan and other cities.
Israeli airlines: new destinations
Israeli carriers are also actively expanding their offerings.
- Israir has announced new routes to Basel (Switzerland), Debrecen (Hungary), and Vilnius (Lithuania) for spring and summer 2025.
- Arkia, in cooperation with the Israeli High Tech Forum, will launch flights between Tel Aviv and New York three times a week from 8 February.
Who doesn’t fly yet
However, some major airlines still refrain from flying to Israel:
- American Airlines – flights are suspended until the end of September 2025.
- United Airlines – return date unknown.
- Air Canada and KLM – flights are cancelled until the end of March.
- Virgin Atlantic has no plans to fly until October.
The year 2025 promises the resumption of active air traffic between Israel and the world. Passengers will be offered new routes, comfortable conditions and special prices. At the same time, some companies are cautious about resuming flights, planning to return later this year.
