Thursday, 23 January 2025, the 475th day of the Iron Swords War. The conflict, which began on 7 October 2023, covers the territories of Gaza, Judea, Samaria, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen. This was reported by Time Ukraine Israel, citing Newsru.co.il.
On 19 January, a ceasefire came into effect in Gaza, and hostilities ceased in the territory. However, Israel continues the Iron Wall operation in Jenin, launched on 21 January, and maintains control over southern Lebanon and the buffer zone in Syria.

The IDF has launched an active phase of operations in the region. Overnight, two terrorists involved in the Al-Fundouk attack were killed in Burqin, near Jenin. The operation was carried out by Dovdevan special forces units together with Shabak. One Israeli soldier was wounded in the fighting. “The Al-Din al-Qassam Brigades confirmed the deaths of their fighters, Muhammad Nazal and Qutaiba al-Shalabi.
At the same time, several suspected terrorists were detained in various areas, including Qabatiya, Bir Zeit, Qalqilya and Ramallah.

The situation escalated near Jenin and in the Gaza Strip. IDF artillery hit buildings in the Rafah area. Palestinian sources report two deaths as a result of the shelling.
Clashes between IDF troops and militants near the Al-Asir mosque in Jenin. IDF forces are increasing their presence in the region.

Palestinian Authority security forces detained four militants on their way to Jenin.
IDF in Lebanon and Syria
The Israeli Defence Forces continue to control strategically important areas of southern Lebanon. In Syria, the “buffer zone” continues to be maintained, which creates additional security for the northern regions of Israel.
Despite the ceasefire in Gaza, Israel faces new challenges on other fronts. The Iron Wall operation in Jenin demonstrates the IDF’s ability to act with precision and efficiency, neutralising threats to civilians. The Iron Sword War continues, and its key objective remains the protection of Israel’s sovereignty and security.
