Russian occupation forces continue active assault operations along the entire frontline, including advances in several areas in the Donetsk region. This is according to the DeepState monitoring project, which regularly updates data on the situation at the front.
The project published an updated map of the fighting on 28 January at 01:55. The most difficult situation is currently observed in the Pokrovsk sector, where Russian forces have made some progress.
“The enemy has advanced in the areas of Dachne, Andriivka, Slovianka and Novoandriivka,” DeepState analysts report.
The occupation forces continue assault operations in several areas of the frontline, using artillery, armoured vehicles and aircraft. Donetsk region remains one of the key areas of hostilities where the enemy is trying to break through the defensive positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Ukrainian military continues to deter enemy attacks while strengthening defensive lines in critical areas. The Ukrainian Armed Forces Command has recorded increased Russian activity in the south-east of the region.
Analysts emphasise that the situation remains dynamic, and the enemy’s advance may vary depending on counterattacks by Ukrainian forces.
