Over the last day, 193 combat engagements were registered in the frontline. Ukrainian troops are holding defensive lines and striking at the Russian occupiers, destroying enemy ammunition depots and equipment.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 29 January.
Scale of attacks and counterattacks
The enemy carried out two missile and 33 air strikes, using 71 guided aerial bombs. The occupiers also fired more than 5,000 artillery rounds, including 84 from multiple launch rocket systems. They used 2,424 kamikaze drones in the attacks.
In response, the missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces struck back:
- 1 ammunition depot;
- 7 areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment;
- 2 control points;
- 2 artillery systems of the occupiers.
The hottest areas
Kharkiv sector – 7 engagements in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia.
Kupyansk sector – 14 attacks were repelled near Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Petropavlivka and other localities.
The Liman sector – 10 combat engagements, the enemy attacked in the areas of Makiivka, Novoyehorivka and Serebryansky forest.
In the Siversky sector – 17 attacks near Bilohorivka, Novosilka and Verkhnekamianske.
Kramatorsk sector – 11 hostile attacks near Predtechyne, Bila Hora and Chasovyi Yar.
Toretsk sector – 20 attacks near Krymske, Diliyivka, Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
Pokrovske direction – the most intense fighting, 88 enemy attacks.
Novopavlivske direction – 7 attempts to break through in the areas of Kostiantynopol and Rozlyv.
Huliaipol direction – 5 attacks on Novosilka.
Prydniprovskyi sector – one hostile attack.
The Kursk sector – 10 combat engagements, 24 air strikes (34 drones) and over 300 artillery attacks.
There were no active offensives in the Orikhivsk sector, and the situation in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remains unchanged.
The occupiers continue shelling the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
