On 29 January, Russian troops attacked rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Shostka district who were working at the scene of a fire caused by a previous attack. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

During the firefighting, the occupiers struck again with an FPV drone, damaging a fire truck.

Fortunately, the rescuers moved to a safe place in time, and none of them were injured.

This is not the first time that the Russian military has targeted emergency services in violation of all international humanitarian law. Ukrainian rescuers continue to work under constant threat, risking their lives for the safety of the civilian population.
