Over the last day, 134 combat engagements took place between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian occupants in the frontline. The most fierce fighting continues in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian troops repelled 61 enemy attacks. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 1 February.
The occupiers carried out 54 air strikes, fired five missiles and dropped 105 guided bombs. The enemy also fired more than 6,200 artillery rounds, including 136 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used about 2,018 kamikaze drones.
- Ukrainian missile forces and artillery struck at key positions of the invaders:
- Two areas of concentration of Russian troops destroyed
- One air defence asset affected
- Four artillery systems destroyed
- Three enemy command posts were destroyed
The fiercest battles:
▪️ Pokrovsk sector – 61 attacks were repelled in the areas of Mashivka, Yelizavetivka, Pokrovsk, Novoukrainka, Myroliubivka, Andriivka and other localities.
▪️ Kursk sector – 12 occupants’ attacks, 347 artillery shelling, 20 air strikes, 29 unmanned aerial vehicles dropped.
▪️ Liman direction – 11 attacks near Zelena Dolyna, Novomykhailivka, Makiivka, Yampolivka.
▪️ Novopavlivka sector – nine repelled attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil and Rozdolne.
▪️ Huliaypillia direction – two unsuccessful assaults under the cover of attack and bombing aircraft.
▪️ Prydniprovskyi direction – four enemy attacks, after the losses the occupants retreated.
No active hostilities were recorded in the Volyn and Polissya sectors, but the enemy continues to shell the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions and inflict losses on the occupiers, preventing them from advancing.
