In March 2025, Ukraine will hold an annual indexation of pensions, as provided for by law. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the announcement in his evening address on Tuesday, 4 February, following a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council with government officials.
According to analysts, the recalculation will be carried out in line with the inflation rate and will range from 13 to 17%. The Head of State stressed that despite the difficult situation, the authorities were finding resources to support Ukrainians.
“No matter how difficult it is, we are finding funds to help all Ukrainians, Ukrainian producers,” Zelenskyy stressed.
He also mentioned the ePromotion programme, under which almost UAH 13 billion was paid to Ukrainian families. According to him, similar direct support programmes are in great demand. In particular, more than 5 million people have already joined the National Cashback initiative.
The President noted that the government was instructed to expand effective mechanisms of social assistance and increase the level of financial stability of the country. He also stressed the importance of maintaining financial discipline, which was discussed at the NSDC meeting.
