Ukrainian Armed Forces repel 35 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector and strike at occupants’ positions

Ukrainian defenders repelled 35 Russian offensives in the Pokrovsk sector, where the fiercest fighting took place over the past day. A total of 85 combat engagements were recorded on the frontline, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported in its morning report on 5 February.

The missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck six areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. In addition, two artillery systems and one electronic warfare station were destroyed.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy made one attack near Vovchansk. In the Kupiansk sector, the occupants attacked seven times in the areas of Zahryzove, Petropavlivka, Lozova and Novoosynove. Two attacks were registered in the Lyman sector, where Russians tried to break through near Yampolivka and Dibrova. Six attacks took place in the Kramatorsk sector in the areas of Stupochky, Predtechyne and Chasovyi Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attempted to break through the defences in the areas of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka ten times. Two attacks were repelled in the Novopavlivka sector, where Russians tried to advance in the area of Rozlyv and Zelenivka. In the Huliaypillia sector, three attacks were stopped near Novosilka, and in the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy attacked twice in the direction of Novodanylivka and Mala Tokmachka.

There were 12 combat engagements in the Kursk sector. Russian troops conducted 46 air strikes, dropped 67 guided aerial bombs and fired 378 artillery rounds, including five attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

Despite the massive attacks, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the line and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
