In January 2025, Ukrainian government agencies saved almost UAH 2 billion on purchases of consumer goods through the Prozorro Market electronic catalogue. The total amount of purchases for this period was UAH 16 billion, according to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
For comparison, in the whole of 2024, government customers managed to save UAH 4 billion.
What we saved the most on
According to Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, the largest savings were achieved in the following categories of goods:
- Food and energy – UAH 1.7 billion
- Medicines – UAH 300 million
“Prozorro Market provides businesses with equal access to public procurement and the state with a wide range of quality goods at competitive prices,” said Yevhen Yakubovsky, Director of Professional Procurement.
Growing popularity of e-procurement
As of the beginning of 2025, more than 5,500 suppliers work through Prozorro Market. Each of them is thoroughly checked to confirm their integrity and relevant experience.
The system offers a wide range of products for government agencies, including:
- Food
- Office equipment
- Goods for defence
- School buses
- Electricity
According to the Ministry of Economy, in 2024, Prozorro Market was used to make purchases worth more than UAH 41 billion, which is four times higher than in 2023.
