Vince Neil plane crash: pilot killed, several passengers in hospital

The private jet of the leader of the cult rock band Mötley Crüe, Vince Neil, crashed into another plane at the airport in Scottsdale (Arizona, USA).

According to The Sun, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon local time when Neil’s Learjet 35A left the runway during landing and collided with a parked Gulfstream 200. The cause of the accident was a left landing gear failure, airport officials said.

The death of the pilot and hospitalisation of passengers

According to rescuers, one person died, three others were injured and hospitalised.

Among the victims are Vince Neil’s girlfriend, Reine Hanna, and her friend Ashley. Anna suffered minor injuries, and the condition of the other passengers is currently being assessed by doctors.

Representatives of Mötley Crüe confirmed the death of the pilot and expressed condolences to his family. The band said it would support the family of the deceased and help the injured in their treatment.

Disaster investigation

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has already launched an official investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Experts are analysing the technical condition of the aircraft, weather conditions and possible human factors that could have caused the incident.

The preliminary findings of the investigators are expected to be made public in the coming days.
