Operators of Phoenix unmanned aerial vehicle strike systems have conducted precision strikes on enemy positions in Kharkiv region, destroying three long-range Russian Hyacinth-B guns at once . This was reported by the press service of the Khortytsia Joint Forces Operation on Tuesday, 11 February.
According to the military, the guns were disabled by hitting their barrels. The drones pierced critical holes, rendering the artillery systems unusable. Replacing the barrel for such guns is a complex and resource-intensive process, and the enemy’s shortage of these parts will significantly complicate the restoration of combat capabilities.
“Thus, the capabilities of Russian artillery in the Kharkiv region have been reduced,” the Ukrainian soldiers said.
The destruction of the enemy’s long-range guns reduces the intensity of enemy shelling and eases artillery pressure on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
Drones change the course of battle
Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems are increasingly demonstrating their effectiveness in the fight against Russian equipment. Thanks to the high-precision strikes of Phoenix operators, the enemy suffers significant losses in critical weapons, which may affect the further course of hostilities in the region.
