Ukraine is preparing to meet with representatives of the United States, and negotiations will take place at various levels in the near future. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address on Tuesday, 11 February.
Focus on economic cooperation
According to the President, Ukraine can now speak more confidently about special economic projects with the United States. We are talking about opportunities to attract investment, technological partnerships and the development of strategic sectors of the economy.
“We are ready to meet with representatives of the United States, and negotiations will take place in the near future. At many levels,” Zelenskyy said.
Why is this important?
- Strengthening economic cooperation between Ukraine and the United States against the backdrop of continued military assistance.
- Potential creation of special economic zones to attract US investors.
- Deepening trade and technology cooperation, especially in the defence, energy and IT sectors.
The talks are expected to define a new level of strategic partnership between Kyiv and Washington, particularly in the context of Ukraine’s economic recovery.
